Okay, all the magnets photos are in (sort of) and ready for purchase. (I'm still waiting for official photos from Livy and Lindsey. I went with a photo I had of them, but if they supply me soon with ones they prefer, I can change them. Also, Sam has said she wants a different picture but hasn't sent it to me yet.)

I bring all this to your attention just to inform you that today only CafePress is offering free shipping. Not a big deal as it would only be a couple of dollars for most. (I think the shipping for the complete set comes in at around $8, for example.) But if you want to buy some, and you want free shipping, today is your day.

First, go to the magnet page and make your selections. Then, in the ordering process, type this in where it asks for "coupon code": FREE4VIP

Offer expires at midnight! Thanks, everybody.

Grandma, here's that website for the things you could put on your basement wall... There's other sites like this, but this is the one they used for Livy's bathroom...

More fridge faces added. Thanks, everybody! Only a few more to go. And remember, the ones that are on the page now are ready to order, for any of you who want them.

We got the house decorated yesterday & Ryan started on the outside lights, we’re doing LED this year, so it looks a little different. We’ll see how it ends up. We are going to get our tree today, then we’ll just have that to do today. It will be nice to have it done, though yesterday it felt a little weird to be doing it as it felt like spring, we were taking off sweatshirts it was so warm! Good game to watch, I’m a little nervous about next week, but what a great thing to make it to the Big 12 Championship!

The long weekend has been nice, I wish every weekend was like this. Karen we will get to grandmas for sure, how exciting! I’ve always wanted the little gifts every day thing, thanks so much!

Gary, I’m working on Ryan, Teghan & I’s pictures, maybe today I’ll get them taken...

Five more faces to stick on your refrigerator. If your dot isn't red yet, hurry up and send me a photo!

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Emily and Erika put up the tree last night and today they decorated the rest of the house, so nice to have it done.

Brent actually went shopping this morning, but the rest of us stayed home.

Amanda - Tristen - Teghan -- you all need to go to Grandmas this week-end and pick up your Christmas gifts from us. Then on Tuesday you can each start to open a gift and then continue for the 24 days :) Hope you enjoy it........

Hey, three more magnetic personalities added to the mix!

If you don't have your photos in yet -- and I'm talking to Amanda, Anna, Brent, Emily, John, Lindsey, Lori, Marsha, Olivia, Paul, Ryan, Samantha, Teghan, and Zachary -- then I may be forced to draw a picture of each of you for your magnets. And I'm not a very good artist....

So find a photo of yourself you like and send it to me. You'll be glad you did!

Well, a week from today is so-called "Black Friday," the busiest shopping day of the year. I plan to avoid it myself, but if you intend to shop that day I found a few items you may be interested in:

1) There is an entire website devoted to Black Friday, called (what else?) www.black-friday.net. They've already gotten hold of the sales circulars for many stores, and they are posted on the site.

2) Here's an article that tells you some things you need to know about Black Friday sales. Some are obvious -- like reading the fine print for things like "while supplies last" or "limit 5 per store" -- but others are more helpful.

3) Be careful out there! Wal-Mart recently settled their lawsuit concerning the trampling death of a store worker on last year's Black Friday. That never happened to someone who shops online....

Hey Gary--I did not forget about the magnets! I'm looking through some more pictures!

Thank you, Livy. Find some good ones of your parents, too! --Gary

Thanks for all the birthday wishes everybody! I had a fun day, and there will be more celebrating on Friday! :-)

Gary, I have been looking through my pictures, trying to find a good one for the magnets. I promise I will have one in by Thanksgiving weekend!

Thanks, Emily! --Gary

Hey, slow down everybody, your photos are coming in way too fast!

Okay, I'm kidding. :-) So far I have five of us accounted for, and that means 16 of you still need to come through. I would like to have your photos by Thanksgiving weekend -- let's say 11 or 12 days from now -- so I have time to process the photos and get them ready to be made into magnets. When they're ready, you will be able to go to my online store and purchase them yourself -- priced at cost, I'm not making a dime here! :-) -- and they will be shipped directly to you.

My online store is already open, and three magnets are ready (I still have to get Karen and Erika's photos scanned, so that will take a bit longer). If you want to check it out, go to www.cafepress.com/333666/

Whatever you see there is ready to buy. This shop is "private," meaning it is not accessible to search engines and such -- so unless someone knows it's here, they won't find it. Let me know if you have any questions. And thanks!

Happy Friday the 13th, everybody. Be careful out there!

Starting Monday, this image will appear every day on the front page:

It will show who has and has not supplied me with a picture for the new set of magnets. Just find a photo of yourself that you like and send it to me. When I receive it, the little button beside your name will turn red. Red = good, white = bad!

If I don't get a picture from you, I will rummage around and find one myself. And gee, I hope it won't be one where you're blinking or making a goofy face or something.... :-)

Thanks for your help, everyone!

Donna, you are right, Ryan thank you for your service.

I didn't get the day off, but Brent did. He spent most of the day with the plumber :) Erika is on her first day of work. She started right after school, will get a few hours of training. Then families are invited to sample the food. So Emily is heading over and we will have supper at the Pita Pit. Gary, my school pictures finally came today, am I too late to send them in? Love this weather, helping to make up for the lousy weather in October. Can't believe it's only two weeks until Thanksgiving. Mom thanks for the invitation, but we will be staying home this year. How is everyone doing with their Christmas shopping. I am about half way done, and hope to get more done this week-end.

No, it's not too late for the pictures. In fact, I haven't received any yet...ahem! --Gary

Yea, Gary when I was driving back from Grand Island we saw two cars from Oklahoma, with OU stickers & flags blazing on their cars... One guy drove like a jerk so that helped us to not like him even more. Go Huskers!

GBR! --Gary

Hey everybody! I've been a little busy the last few days and couldn't send in pictures. So I finally got them up! It's Shadow's halloween costume as a convict dog. I figured it kind of fit Ceaser but didn't fit Max at all, so it was Shadow's turn! It was a little big; the legs were too long. But otherwise it was pretty good! One picture it looked like Shadow was sad that he was put in jail, and the other one on here was when he was eating a bone and I thought it looked like he was snarling or growling.. ;) But that's it so I'll talk to you all later!!!

Thanks for the great pics, Livy. --Gary

Countdown to the game -- only 24 hours away as I write this. The lights were on in the stadium as I left work at 5, and they were testing the sound system. I saw a bus with TV equipment parked on an empty lot (where the old Starship 9 movie theater used to be) with people milling around, and the Haymarket area was already full of people in red wandering around and looking for restaurants and such. And the Husker shop on P Street was lit up like Christmas, and full of people. Cross your fingers, and Go Big Red!
